About us

At Meticulab, we believe that precision is not just a specification—it's a promise. Our journey began with a shared passion for science, technology, and the pursuit of excellence.

Founded by two engineers who met while studying at Nagoya University, Japan—Judy Tao from China and Frank Choi from South Korea—our story is rooted in technical rigor and cross-cultural collaboration. After earning our master's degrees, we were both recruited by a Japanese company and entrusted to manage its China operations for over a decade. During those years, we had the privilege of serving leading names in the analytical instrument industry—Siemens, Hitachi, Shimadzu, and Shenzhen Mindray, among others—helping their R&D and engineering teams bring complex technical projects to life. These experiences gave us deep insights into the market and lasting relationships with manufacturers and engineers across the supply chain.

In 2012, we founded Taomsun Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd. in China—a company dedicated to providing high-quality modules, components, and consumables for laboratory analytical instruments and medical devices. Over the years, Taomsun has grown into a trusted partner for the industry, backed by a strong network of specialized manufacturers and technical experts.

In 2025, we took the next step: launching Meticulab in South Korea. With Frank leading global sales from Korea and Judy coordinating product development and manufacturing in China, Meticulab is built on a simple idea: combine Korean market agility with Chinese manufacturing expertise to deliver precision components that engineers can trust.
